Do You Need a Visa or K-ETA to Visit South Korea?
Thai ordinary passport holders traveling to South Korea for a short tourist stay can generally stay for up to 90 days under the visa-waiver arrangements between Thailand and South Korea.
However, Thai travelers entering under the visa-waiver program are generally required to obtain approval through K-ETA (Korea Electronic Travel Authorization) before traveling, in accordance with the requirements currently in effect. Those traveling to work, study, or stay for other purposes may need to apply for the appropriate visa in advance.
K-ETA is an electronic travel authorization system, not a visa. Approval does not guarantee admission to South Korea; the final decision is made by immigration officers at the border.
Always check the latest requirements for your nationality and travel date on the official website. This is particularly important for travel after December 31, 2026, when the temporary K-ETA exemption measure for the countries and regions on the designated list is scheduled to end.

What Is the e-Arrival Card?
The e-Arrival Card is an electronic form for providing arrival information to South Korean immigration. Travelers who are required to submit an arrival card can complete the form online in advance.
Eligible travelers can submit the e-Arrival Card from three days before their arrival in South Korea, based on local time. There is no fee, and travelers may review or amend their information according to the system’s rules before completing immigration procedures.
The e-Arrival Card and K-ETA are separate systems. Travelers with a valid K-ETA are exempt from submitting a separate Arrival Card. Travelers who are not exempt should check whether they need to submit the form before departure.
Use the official website and be cautious of look-alike websites that charge fees for a service that is free.

How Do You Get from Incheon Airport to Seoul?
Incheon International Airport is a major arrival point for travelers heading to Seoul. You can choose a transportation option based on your accommodation location, arrival time, and amount of luggage.
Popular options include the AREX airport train, which offers Express and All-Stop services, airport buses serving different neighborhoods, taxis, and private transfers for travelers who prefer to go directly to their hotel.
Before departure, check boarding locations, schedules, fares, and the last available service—especially if you arrive late at night or are traveling with several pieces of luggage.
Which Transportation Card Should You Use in South Korea?
South Korea offers several transportation cards that make using subways and buses more convenient. Visitors can choose a card based on the length of their stay, the cities they plan to visit, and how they intend to use it.
T-money and EZL are prepaid transportation cards accepted on many transit services. WOWPASS is an option for international visitors that combines payment and currency-exchange features. The Climate Card offers short-term passes for eligible public transportation services within its coverage area in Seoul.
Each card has different terms and coverage. In particular, the Climate Card does not cover every route outside Seoul, so check the details before purchasing one.
